The demand for hydrogen and sufficient sustainable production of hydrogen alone does not suffice. Infrastructure is needed to get the hydrogen to the right place. This will also require the electricity grid to be expanded to provide electrolysers with sufficient power. Rules must be developed for the hydrogen infrastructure: about transportation tariffs and certification of the imported sustainable hydrogen. In short, a huge challenge for the coming years!

The Committee on System and Infrastructure routinely discusses hydrogen infrastructure development and market rules, to advise policy makers and grid operators.
